The government of Pakistan has taken the decision of declaring 5th February as a public holiday in all the provincial governments which includes Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and the Islamabad Capital Territory.
All have been instructed to observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day which is on the 5th of February. Regarding this, it has been requested that all should observe one-minute silence in the honor of Kashmir on February 5, 2019, at 10:00 hours.
The general public has also been requested to observe the one-minute silence for honoring of Kashmir Shuhda, as mentioned in a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior.
Pakistan observes Kashmir day in a gesture of showing support and unity with Kashmir. Pakistanis take Kashmiris as their brothers and feel their struggles and pain. The day is observed as a National Holiday in Pakistam.
Recently, a university in Faisalabad has announced that it would be celebrating the Sister’s Day on the 14th of February instead celebrating the Valentine’s Day, which is celebrated across the globe on this date.
The university vice chancellor has taken this decision in order to promoto eastern values and Islamic cultures and traditions.
