An FBR press release has stated that Federal Board of Revenue has launched an offline mode app to file income tax return. This offline app, Iris-ADX (Asynchronous Data Exchange) will help the taxpayers to file for Income tax return and wealth statement in an offline mode. It means that they will not need an internet connection to file the tax return. Internet connectivity issues will not come in the way anymore.
The information technology (IT) wing of the FBR has launched the application to help the taxpayers.
Once the statements are prepared in the offline mode they can be uploaded to FBR’s repository seamlessly.
The deadline to file tax returns was extended by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) by one month. Tax filers can file returns till 30th September 2018. The extension was requested by Pakistan Tax Bar Association (PTBA), in a letter to the FBR chairperson. Though PTBA asked for the deadline to be extended till 16th October Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) extended it by one month till 30th September.
