The FBI has issued instructions and warnings for the routers safety; FBI says a group of international hackers have access to the home and office broadband devices across the world. In order to avoid any possible damage, follow the Instructions as FBI has navigated.

The hackers are using VPN filter malware to get control of home and office broadband routers. Once the device is hacked the hackers can easily steal personal data, passwords and other confidential information of the users.
FBI says users much reboot their broadband devices and change passwords for their accounts should also use different passwords for different accounts. It is also advised that users should upgrade the firmware of their routers in order to add an extra security layer.
U.S. investigations have claimed that group behind stealing data using Wi-Fi routers is based in Russia. However, there is no concrete evidence on this and Russia denies those allegations by the US departments.
