Earlier today, Fawad Chaudhry Minister of Science and Technology revealed through Twitter regarding the launch of electric buses in Pakistan.
As per his tweet, the bus service Daewoo Pakistan Express is collaborating with a Chinese automaker Skywell Automobile to launch electric buses in Pakistan.
On twitter, the minister added a picture of an invitation of the signing ceremony which he received from the Daewoo Express. Moreover, he wrote that the electric buses will become operational in Pakistan this year and within the next three years, Pakistan will also start the manufacturing of the electric buses.
The signing ceremony is going to be held today. More details are going to be revealed after the event concludes. This initiative is one of the examples of Sino-Pak developmental efforts.
There is another Chinese automaker named as BAIC which has also signed a MoU this year with Sazgar Engineering Works Limited. They also revealed the launch of their three vehicles in Pakistan in the future.
Coronavirus pandemic blocked many development activities but now as the cases are decreasing, all business activities are back on track and are trying to gain what they lost in the past five months. On the other hand, CPEC is also underway and many other developments are going to be made in the hospitality, tourism, education, and industrial sectors.
