Fawad Chaudhry Invites Elon Musk to Set up A Factory in Pakistan

Fawad Chaudhry the federal minister for Science and Technology has extended an invite to the American billionaire Elon Musk, to set up a car factory in Pakistan.

Tesla is known by all, and Elon Musk owns it. While talking about it on his social media handle Twitter, the minister replied to a news story about an announcement by the US car manufacturer to establish half a million electric cars a year at its future factory which outside Berlin. He also tagged Musk in the reply.

Fawad Chaudhry tweeted that the next destination for setting up a Tesla plant might be Pakistan where 68 per cent of the world’s population lives within 3.5 hours flight radius from the federal capital.

He further added that they offer ten years of zero tax facility and custom free import for establishing the factory, which no other nation might offer, also Pakistan is the 3rd biggest freelance software exporters of the world.

As for the expansion plans of Tesla, so according to the media reports, Tesla is working on to construct half a million electric automobiles per year at its future factory outside of Berlin.

As per the planning documents that were posted online on Friday indicates that the US automaker wants to build Model 3 and Model Y automobiles at the location in Gruenheide as well as the future models.

The fourth factory of Tesla would be having facilities for assembling the complete automobiles, which includes the batteries production as well.

The plans would need to undergo an environmental change review and public consultation.

Tesla targets to begin the operations at the new plan in July 2021, which is a positive time frame as per the German standards.

The construction of a nearby airport for Berlin started in the year 2006 and the opening has been deferred for 8 years.
