An Indian MP—a member of parliament has offered the ex-military dictator General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf fast track Indian citizenship.
As per a tweet posted on the 19th of December, Subramanian Swamy said that if Musharraf acknowledges that he is the descendant of Hindus, he could come to India. Under the new citizenship Amendment Bill of India, people who acknowledge that they are the descendants of Hindus are eligible to come to India.

Swamy is a politician, statistician and economist and a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha—the upper house of the Indian Parliament.
On the 17th of December, Musharraf was sentenced to death in a high treason case.
