The farming tractors have witnessed a growth of 17.16% in the current financial year. The production for this year has reached up to 11,235. The production of farming tractors in the last year was 9,589 units.
However, the production of trucks during July-September of the current year witnessed a declining trend as it went down to 769 units as compared to 817 units last year, showing a decrease of 5.87%. These are the latest figures of the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
Similarly, the production of buses plunged to 125 units during the period under review from 157 units last year, showing a decrease of 20.38%.
Pickups also have seen a decline in their production by 32.50% to 3,708 units from 5,494 units last year. Whereas 1,655 units of LCVs, vans, and Jeeps were manufactured during the first three months of the current financial year compared to 867 units during the same months of last year, thus showing an increase of 190.88%.
The production of passenger cars also reported a record decline of 29.34% as it plunged to 25,574 units during the same period against the production of 36,198 units during the last year.
It is also reported that the manufacturing of motorcycles and three-wheelers in the country increased to 449,306 units during the current financial year which was only 370,771 units in the last year. This increase in production resulted in a growth of 21.18%.
