Sindh Family Planning Helpline named ‘POOCHO’ has been launched by Provincial Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Cost Implementation Plan (CIP) Secretariat and Population Welfare Department in collaboration with Green Star Marketing (GSM).
According to the statement, the helpline provides 24/7 services regarding family planning, information on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), counseling services, most importantly for adolescents and youth.

Back in 2015, the helpline was launched by Greenstar. Highly skilled team members are part of the Poocho team who provide support to the callers 24/7.
State of the art communication system is installed that includes call facility both inbound and outbound, outgoing SMS facility, customer relationship management (CRM) system, family planning procedures integrated voice recording (IVR) and automated caller feedback facility.
The helpline is equipped with a powerful training and quality assurance mechanism. It enables it to maintain the standard and improve service quality. Currently, the helpline was providing family planning and counseling services to over 3000 women and men per month. It has the capacity to serve 20,000 callers on a monthly basis.
The aim of Poocho is to help people in discussing their family planning issues, needs and offer them a conducive environment to discuss their personal health problems.
