Fakhar Zaman has become the top 16th batsman in the ICC ODI player rankings. For the first in his career, Fakhar is ranked amongst the top 20 batsmen in the world.
ICC press release stated, “Fakhar scored 515 runs in the series and has gained a total of 22 places to move into 16thposition. When the player rankings were last updated on 17 July following England versus India series, and the three ODIs between Zimbabwe and Pakistan, Fakhar was 24th but his knocks of 210 not out in the fourth ODI and 85 in the final ODI helped him to gain eight more places.”

After Babar Azam, Fakhar is the second Pakistani batsman to be included in the ICC batsmen top-20 list. The list is headed by India’s Virat Kohli.
Fakhar Zaman also became the first Pakistani batsman to score a double century. Previously Saeed Anwar was the highest scoring Pakistani batsman with 194 runs against India. Playing against Zimbabwe Fakhar smashed a double hundred and beat Saeed Anwar’s highest score. In 150 balls, Fakhar reached the 200 score with the help of 24 fours and five sixes
Furthermore, Fakhar’s opening partner Imam-ul-Haq has also moved up by 70 spots in first 3 ODIs and another 51 spots to reach 43rd position after Pakistan finished the Zimbabwe tour.
In the bowling section Pakistan wrist-spinner Shadab Khan has moved up to 31st position and Faheem Ashraf has gone up to 79th position.
