Now this one has come as a shocker for the people of Faisalabad who do not wear masks in the city. All these people would get punished by an electric shock.
The police and the district administration have been hitting the violators with the stun guns.
Muhammad Ali, the Deputy Commissioner has said that the people could easily become susceptible to contract the coronavirus if they do not wear masks.
He and his team are pretty serious regarding this matter and have been punishing the people for not wearing the masks.
Besides the zaps, the punishments encompass making the violators stand in the sun for half an hour and a tight slap from a policeman.
However, these punishments are apparently more effective and severe than a mere fine. People were seen running away from the policemen holding stun guns at the Zarai University Chowk after they saw that what would their punishment be for breaking the mandatory mask rule.
Some residents of the city have shown their discontent with the punishment. One man told local media that this is not a good idea. He said one should fine such violators or punish them in some other way, shocking people is not a good idea.
