The first Authorized Sales Partner (ASP) program of Facebook in Pakistan has formally launched. The aim of the program is to expand its presence in Pakistan’s social media market.
For its ASP program, the company has shortlisted Httpool, Viral Edge, East River, and Starcrest Communications. However, it has intentionally left out Network Agencies to limit the platform abandonment.
Other than Httpool, all the shortlisted agencies are based and owned locally. However, Httpool claims to have most experience amongst the shortlisted agencies as it has served in 5 locations in the Baltic region and 4 locations in the Asia-Pacific region.
The company that will win the bid for the ASP program in Pakistan is expected to increase the share of branding and performance media revenue of Facebook. By Magna, in 2018 the social and digital media expenditure of Facebook in Pakistan stood at $150 million.
This program will be the first point of contact to sort the ad-hoc issues advertisers and agencies have to face when they run campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
The program will permit Facebook to gain a trusted partner in delivering in-country support to advertisers without any risk or liabilities that come up while operating in an unfamiliar market.
