Expats Have Permission to Operate Bank Accounts without Biometric Verification

The State Bank of Pakistan—SBP has given permission to the expats that they could operate their bank accounts without biometric verification, once they provide their identity as Overseas Pakistanis in their local banks.

This was indicated by the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development—Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari in a tweet on Thursday.

He expressed hope that the measure would provide ease and facilitate the Pakistani diaspora residing across the globe.

Previously, the apex bank asked Pakistani banks to register their all account holders via biometric verification in order to block the fake bank accounts and to discourage the activities like terror financing and money laundering.

The new airport of Saudi Arabia is all ready to recived commercial flights. Once the first phase of the project completion is achieved the airport would be all set to receive the visitors.
