The Employees of Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) has made a complete record of its pensioners online which would be offering them to get access to complete information and funds, as per the reports of local media.
Following the completion of the digitisation process of the records, all the pensioners could obtain information about their pensions and other details once they enter their EOBI registration or computerised national identity card numbers (CNIC).
Zulfiqar Bukhari, the Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistan lauded EOBI for facilitating the pensioners by launching a new facility. He said that the ex-government had destroyed the national institutions via corruption, whereas the current government is trying to empower the institutions which include EOBI.
Last year in December, SAPM on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, made the announcement to surge Rs.2,000 in term of pensions for the registered persons with Employee Old-Age Benefits Institution.
While addressing an event, Zulfiqar Buhari announced about increasing the pension money from Rs.6,500 to Rs.8,500 of the EOBI pensioners.
The pensioners would be getting Rs.8,500 pension from next year, as informed by Bukhari. He also said that it would surge to Rs.15,000 after the completion of the EOBI project next year.
