Many employees of the New Murree Patriata Chairlift demonstrated their massive protest on Saturday against the management for removing them from service.
As per the details, a large number of employees of the New Murree Patriata Chairlift staged their protest against the management for terminating them from their jobs. The protestors chanted the slogans against General Manager and other higher officials of the New Murree Patriata Chairlift.
A sit-in was also staged by the removed employees on the occasion. They demanded for the restoration of their jobs or else they would continue on with their protest.
Shabbir—an employee said that he had been fired from service without any reason or mistake or any earlier notice regarding termination. He added that the management is kind of aimed at making the poor employees deprive of their rights.
Another employee has the view that he had been working with the Patriata Chairlift for many years and he had been making money and earning bread and butter for his family via this job.
At one point when the protestors went out of control, the management asked the police to intervene and to control the enraged protestors.
On the other hand, the tourists are now complaining about facing troubles as they are unable to experience the joys of chairlift because of its closure.
Saman Amin Shah—one of the tourist, told social media she reached Murree with her family for enjoying the weekend. She mentioned that her son and daughter were looking forward to riding chairlift excitedly, but they were disappointed after they learnt that the management has closed the service.
