The Emirati passport has become the 10th most powerful passport in the world after the bilateral visa waiver agreement which has been taken place between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Russia earlier this week.
According to the Arton Capital Passport Index (ACPI), the agreement between UAE and Russia has taken United Arab Emirates’ visa-free score to 155, while Russia has a visa-free score of 115.
Singapore is at the top of the list with a visa-free score of 166, while Germany is in the second position with the visa-free score of 164. The third number on the list has been shared by as many as 12 countries, including the United States, South Korea, France, and Italy. On the other hand, the United Arab Emirates have shared its 10th position with Cyprus.
There are no changes occurred in Russia’s visa-free score after the latest agreement with UAE, as the United Arab Emirates had already put in place visa-on-arrival for the nationals of Russia.
According to the reports, over 750,000 Russian nationals visited the United Arab Emirates last year and contribute a total of $2.3 billion to the economy of UAE.
