Emirates is the biggest International airlines in the world which have now stopped recruitment and told its staff member that the out broke of the coronavirus is the biggest challenge faced by the airlines after so many years, as per the reports of Reuters.
The global airlines have issued a warning about the toll on their businesses from the outbreak that has taken more than 4,000 lives and has seen countries enforce strict travel limitations.
The World Health Organization has described the virus as a pandemic, India has suspended the entry to most foreigners, and the US has restricted travel from much of the European countries.
The airline said in an email to its staff that this most recent challenge looks to be the greatest that the airline and the industry have ever faced in many years.
Emirates, which is a part of the Emirates Group has provided employment to more than 100,000 people at the end of its last financial year in the month of March 2019, and the frozen of recruitment has been enforced.
Emirates did not respond immediately for a request to comment outside the normal working hours.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum, the Chairman of Emirates said that the airline has already significantly reduced the passenger flights for the month of March across their network, and more reductions are possibly to follow as they review the recent situation.
