On Saturday, Emirates Airlines declared that it is cancelling flights from a few more cities to avoid the spread of the coronavirus. The Airlines have closed 100 routes up till now and according to the latest update the Dubai carrier has closed down 111 routes in total.
The total number of people infected with this virus stood at 153 out of which 38 people have recovered. But recently on Friday, the United Arab Emirates declared the first two deaths caused by the disease.
Normally, the Airline carries flight to serve 159 destinations.
Emirates decided to take this step in response to the current situation the virus has created all over the world. Airlines took this extra precaution in order to make sure their customers remain healthy.

The flights were suspended to some destinations which include; Islamabad, Frankfurt, and Paris and will remain suspended for the next 3 months until any further notice says Emirates.
Etihad, Abu Dhabi’s carrier has also cancelled flights to 40 cities in Italy, India, Spain, and Saudi Arabia. This announcement came out on Saturday.
Many of the Gulf countries are enforcing different limitations to flight with the outbreak of coronavirus, very particularly in the sector of Air transport.
UAE has stopped all the foreigners, not those who are already prevailing in the country but those who are outside the country and are willing to return and also the supply of visas have been put to halt.
Beaches and public areas including gyms, movie theatres, parks all have been closed in the UAE to control the spread of COVID-19.
As per the National Emergency Cries and Disaster Management Authority, a few cafes and restaurants are allowed to open if they are delivering food at doorsteps and they have been provided with a client capacity which is 20%.
These safety precautions will prevail in the country for the next 2 weeks.
