It has been announced by Emirates that it will start scheduled flight operations from Sialkot starting from June 24. It will be the fourth destination in Pakistan for the Dubai-based airline following Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. Furthermore, Emirates has added 10 more global destinations to its post-lockdown schedule.
From June 20th, the airline will begin flying from Colombo. From June 24 it will start flying from Sialkot, June 25 from Istanbul, from July 1st from Auckland, Beirut, Brussels, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City, and from July 15th from Barcelona and Washington DC.
It was announced by Emirates that its flights from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Pakistan would just carry outbound travelers to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and onward destinations. However, its returning flights from the UAE will carry cargo.
Emirates Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim stated, “Thanks to the support and partnership from the UAE authorities, Emirates has been able to provide smooth and safe journeys for those who need to travel, and we look forward to adding flights to more destinations in the coming weeks.”
Furthermore, he said that the health and safety of the passengers and staff is their topmost priority. It has been announced by Kazim that Emirates wants to increase the flight frequencies to 14 cities in July. The new destinations will include London (Heathrow), Manchester, Frankfurt, Paris, Zurich, Madrid, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Dublin, New York (JFK), Toronto, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
