The emergency exit door of PIA suddenly got unlocked before it was parked after landing at the Islamabad International Airport on Sunday.
The passengers of the national flag carrier Sukkur-bound flight remained safe during the incident. As per sources, the related aircraft landed at the airport at around 5 pm.
It was still on the parking of the runway when the emergency door suddenly opened up when the brakes were applied.
The pilot halted the plane all of a sudden for avoiding any mishaps. As per the information available, the airport officials have reached the site and all the passengers were evacuated from the aircraft. An investigation has been started by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for the incident.
Previously, Pakistan International Airlines decreased the airfares for London bound flights until March 15. The announcement about the reduction in fares was made by PIA.
According to the announcement, the airfares would be reduced by 10 per cent for the flights scheduled to take off from Pakistan towards London.
The reduction in airfares is for all the classes of the aircraft, as informed by the spokesperson of PIA on the occasion.
