The electricity shortfall has exceeded 2500MW and thus is resulting in the power outages of 3 to 7 hours.
As per the media reports, the power consumption has attained 16,000MW against the production of just 13,500MW.
The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) is scheduling load shedding on the basis of line losses and the theft of electricity from its 1,775 feeders as it is experiencing a shortfall of 490MW.
3-hour power outbreaks are being conducted from 1,241 feeders with 10 per cent line losses, 6-hour load shedding from 74 feeders with 40 per cent lines losses, 5-hour power outage from 430 feeders with 30 per cent lines losses and 7-hour load shedding from 20 feeders with 60 per cent line losses.
The officials have expressed hope that the power production would slowly surge after the snow on mountains would melt owing to the high temperature, causing a surge in the water levels in dams.
On the other hand, Thatta is to get a brand new museum for prrserving and showcasing its ancient civilization.
The Sindh city is old and historic. It could serve as a spot for toursit attraction owing to its history.
