Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program’s Budget increases from Rs144 billion to Rs203 billion

On Thursday, Dr. Sania Nishter Special Assistant to Imran Khan on Poverty Alleviation said that the budget of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program initiated by the Federal Government has been increased from Rs144 billion-Rs203 billion.

While addressing at a news conference, Dr. Nishter stated that this program is going to continue until and unless all those Pakistanis that are below the poverty line can get benefits from this program.

According to her, the money will be provided on merit and not even the Prime Minister will be allowed to exclude or add any recipient’s name.

Many families got affected financially due to the coronavirus pandemic but they were able to get money from the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program. Some families which were nominated for aid received Rs.12000 from the Emergency Program.

Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz announced that approval has been given by the government to construct a housing project worth Rs400 billion. The construction of the project is going to start in October.

According to Faraz, the Prime Minister’s main focus is to develop the construction industry. The government is introducing policies that can help the middle class and poor both in building their homes.

The improved standard of the construction industry will help to enhance the economy of the country and also help in providing employment.

The government is also planning on providing loans to the people who are mainly involved in the construction industry.
