‘Ehsaas’ announced its partnership with Facebook to fight against malnutrition in Pakistan

In order to tackle the malnutrition in Pakistan, the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD) on Thursday announced its partnership with the social media giant Facebook.

As per the details, the Ehsaas will be hosting a first-of-its-kind ‘Design Hackathon’ on malnutrition at the National Incubation Center, Islamabad on 14 and 15 December.

The details further said that the Design Hackathon will connect the experts in malnutrition with the digital marketers who, with additional support from the social media giant, will help build innovative digital campaigns to counter the challenges of malnutrition.

Dr Sania Nishtar—a special to Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation—said that ‘Ehsaas’ is bringing together the brightest talent of the country in digital marketing and technology to tackle the malnutrition across the country and improve the lives of the millions of people.

“Social media is an important channel through which we can educate and inform the people and we are excited to see the results of this pioneering Design Ehsaas Hackathon,” Dr Sania said.
