Educational institutions are to remain closed in Sindh, amid the coronavirus fears. The provincial cabinet has taken the decision of extending the closure of the public and private educational institutes until the 30th of May, as per the reports of local media.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the cabinet of Sindh that was led by the CM Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday.
As per a tweet that was shared by the advisor to the CM on Law, Murtaza Wahab, summer vacations are being preponed in Sindh and the schools in the province would be reopening on June 1, 2020.
As per the shared details, the CM Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken the decision to keep the educational institutions closed until the 30th of May.
He also said that the coronavirus has become endemic and hence the government has to take serious steps to contain it.
The cabinet meeting also suggested discouraging every kind of gathering or crowds which includes marriages, social and religious gatherings throughout the province.
The government has also taken the decision of cancelling the matriculation examinations which were scheduled from the 16th of this month in Sindh.
