All the Provincial Education Ministers will decide on the possibility of the school closure and winter vacation this Thursday. Due to the second wave of the COVID-19, the federal government has called for a meeting of all education ministers on November 5th in order to review the situation of the novel coronavirus in Pakistan.
According to the details, Shafqat Mehmood Federal Minister for education will be leading the meeting which will be attended by all education ministers from all 4 provinces. The representatives from Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir will also attend the meeting.
The recent increase in coronavirus cases has worried all the parents. There are many parents who are hesitant to send their children to school. Therefore, the meeting is going to decide about the early winter vacations and also about the closure of the schools.
Moreover, the decision regarding the board exams of class 8th will also be finalized in the upcoming meeting.
Earlier, Shafqat Mehmood provided clarifications and contradictions over the false reports about the closure of all educational institutions.
This Monday, he again wrote on Twitter that the educational institutions are not being closed.
According to the federal education minister, the government is closely observing the situation and the decision will be made after keeping the health of teachers, school staff, and students in view.
