Education Minister Asks Students to Continue Their Studies

The education minister-Shafqat Mahmood has asked the students to continue with their studies as much as they could. He also said that the decision of closing the educational institutes was taken with a heavy heart.

As per the shared details, he took to his official Twitter handle and posted a tweet.

Let it be known that a meeting of inter-provincial education ministers chaired by the Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood last week, decided to close educational institutions for a month owing to the increasing cases of the coronavirus.

In the past 24 hours, 40 more people succumbed to the novel coronavirus, taking the death toll to 8,091. Whereas after the nation reported fresh 2,458 COVID-19 cases, the national tally hits 400,482. As many as 1,863 patients have recovered from the virus during the last 24 hours and 2,165 patients are in critical condition.

The positivity rate of COVID-19 cases reaches up to 5.9 per cent during 24 hours. The total count of active cases increased up to 49,105.
