Education Department To Provide Free Eye-Check up For 600,000 School Children In Punjab

Pakistan’s Education department and Health department have signed a deal with Australian ‘Fred Hollows Foundation‘ in order to provide health services to school children in Punjab.

The agreement will focus on providing free eye checkup to over 600,000 school children across the three districts of Punjab. The teachers will also be provided adequate training for identifying eye-sight issues of children at Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development (QAED) Lahore. according to the details mentioned by Education Minister Murad Rass.

The Education Minister tweeted about the agreement which reads, “School Education Dept. & Health Dept. signed an agreement with Fred Hollows Foundation Australia for eye check-up of over 600,000 children in 3 districts of Punjab. This is another step towards well being of our Children & teachers to be trained in identifying such issue @ QAED.
