Edhi Foundation Receives Award for Humanitarian Services

The Edhi Foundation is the largest charitable organization of Pakistan and has been provided with the honorary Isa Award for its humanitarian services during a ceremony in Manama –the capital city of Bahrain.

As per a press release by the Isa Award for its services to Humanity, the Edhi Foundation was shortlisted along with the many other qualifiers from other nations by a foreign jury.

Edhi Foundation has been awarded a cash price of amount USD 1 million, a gold medal and an appreciation certificate.

The statement mentions that the Pakistan charity foundation was chosen after the general secretariat of the Award, in coordination with the jury which performed comprehensive field research covering the work areas of the Foundation, revising the methods of offering the services and providing verification of the records of the achievements.

The award was presented to Faisal Edhi—the head of the Edhi Foundation by the King of Bahrain—Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Isa Award stresses on the humanitarian openness to the different ethnicities and religions and restrains politics and conflicts of any kind, the press release further mentioned.
