An earthquake has shaken parts of Pakistan including Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar. At around 12:10 pm, an earthquake hit parts of Pakistan. It was just for a few seconds but it was felt by the people inhabiting in the areas mentioned above. The magnitude of the earthquake as revealed is 6.1 on the Richter scale. It is as per the US Geological Survey. The earthquake is struck at the depth of 178km in Afghanistan, Hindukush region.
There were two jolts, one was the first shock and an aftershock was also felt by many people.
As for the injuries & casualties, in Bela town of Lasbela, a girl is reported to be killed and nine people are reported injured. A roof of a house collapsed, causing the injuries. Other than in KPK, Balochistan, and Islamabad, tremors of the earthquake were also felt in Afghanistan and India.

People all over Pakistan rushed out of their homes, offices, schools and other institutions. Many prayed silently, while others were scared. Many went on to social media platforms to confirm whether it was just them or the earthquake was dead real.

It is important that we keep our calm if any such incident occurs. The best thing is to go out in the open, leave the building and pray. Because the fact is we can not fight a natural disaster, we can just survive it by taking precautionary measures.
