Earthquake Tremors felt in Islamabad

Earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad and its adjoining areas. An earthquake measuring 4.4 magnitudes on the Richter scale was recorded on Saturday that jolted the federal capital along with its adjoining areas.

The depth of the earthquake was 176 kilometers inside the with its epicenter being deduced to be the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, according to the Met officials.

Many people came out of their homes in the utmost fear. They were reciting religious verses and seeking refuge and asking for mercy from the Almighty. Similarly, an Earthquake jolted different parts of Gilgit on 26th March.

Tremors were also felt in Jaglot, Thaleji, Astur and adjoining areas. The magnitude, depth and the epicenter of the earthquake remained unknown as per the initial reports.

These are tough times. The world is in fear, panic with the spread of coronavirus. More than 20% of the world is facing lockdown. This situation has never occurred before. The businesses are down, people are being laid off, the economy is suffering, airlines are going towards bankruptcy and there is an increasing level of uncertainty.
