It has been observed that an early morning earthquake jolted several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Northern Areas on Monday.
According to the details, the National Seismic Monitoring Center (NSMC) it was a 5.8 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale.
On the other hand, the tremors of the early morning quake also felt at the several areas of Punjab.
The details further said that the earthquake jolted Peshawar, Malakand, Mardan, Charsadda, Attock, Abbottabad, Murree, and other areas of Pakistan.
The people living in the Federal capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi also felt the tremors of the earthquake on Monday morning. The people left their houses in the fear and panic while reciting the holy verses as they felt the earthquake.
According to the earthquake monitoring report, the jolts were also felt in Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, and several other northern areas of Pakistan.
The National Seismic Monitoring Center (NSMC) said that epicentre of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan and the depth of the earthquake was 157 kilometres.
