The highly popular doughnuts chain, Dunkin’ Donuts is changing its name. The company is dropping Donuts from its name in order to focus more on coffee, drinks, and other items.
The company wants to rebrand itself as a “beverage-led” company with the main focus on teas, cold brew coffee, nitro coffee, mobile ordering, and newly designed stores. But don’t get disappointed, doughnuts will still be part of the menu. The company just does not want to restrict itself to doughnuts as the previous name suggested.
In January the Dunkin’ Donuts will be officially renamed to Dunkin’. It will be changed on the boxes, napkins and all the stores. First, it will be changed in US stores and then in international ones. Dunkin’ Donuts has almost 12,500 restaurants worldwide.
The newly named chain will have the same rounded font with an orange and pink color scheme. This color scheme was used by Dunkin’ since 1973.
Other than changing the name of the company, Dunkin’ will also make its menu simpler and add mobile ordering lanes to attract the customers.
