Due to poor planning and negligence, PIA suffered a loss of Rs106.573 million: Audit report

An audit report of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) had revealed that the national flag carrier has wasted the meal of worth Rs106.573 million from 2013 to 2015.

As per the details, the airline suffered the loss of a huge amount due to the poor planning and negligence of the concerned authorities.

The audit report claims that the national airline suffered a huge financial loss in terms of the meal they provided to the passengers of the airline from 2013 to 2015.

The audit report said that 55,58,284 passengers have travelled through the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) from 2013-2015 but the administration of that time had arranged the meal for 60,72,839 passengers form the kitchen of the PIA which cost the loss of Rs106.5 million to the national airline.

The audit report held the administration of that time responsible for the loss which was informed about the issued in 2016 and November 2018.

The administration of the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) also failed to respond in a matter related to spending millions under the name of expenses.
