Good News for researchers, artists, art students and cultural scholars, a digital lok virsa library catalog is set to be launched in Pakistan on August 12 just 2 days before independence day. It will provide online assistance and access to scholars, students, research, citizens as well as foreign researchers on folklore and cultural heritage of Pakistan. International researchers can be benefitted and have online access to the online library if they are researching on Pakistan’s cultural heritage.
“The current heritage library offers immense opportunities for self-directed learning, research, and exploration by people of different ages, backgrounds, and interests”, said an official at lok virsa.
He further added, heritage library will provide intangible resources covering national, local and regional identity.
The library will have a catalog of over 32,000 books and journals, moreover, exclusive 200 titles published by lok virsa are also added to the library. The Number of manuscripts, field survey reports, original research reports, and monographs would be available in the library.
This library will provide rich sources of cultural heritage in Pakistan which will serve people better in the field.
