Dhoop Kinarey an iconic drama serial of Pakistan, that was broadcasted in 1987 for the first time in Pakistan is all set to on-air in Saudi Arabia.
Shazia Sikander, the Director of PTV for International Relations said that this would be the first time PTV would be dubbing the local television content for the Saudi viewers.
She told the Arab News that the information ministry would be sending it to the Kingdom via their international office. She further said that they are also trying to contact the various media houses in Saudi Arabia, in case they are willing to exchange the dramas or willing to purchase the dubbed content of Pakistan.
She added that it would not just be bringing foreign recognition towards the local production however would help the Saudi nationals to learn about the culture of Pakistan in a much better way.
The news has come after the visit of Fawad Chaudhry, who was the ex-information minister of Pakistan to the Kingdom last year wherein he made the announcement of the plans of Islamabad to export its television series to Saudi Arabia soon.
The plan was started 3 years back alongside Aahat and Tanhaaiyan however did not reach completion owing to the unavailability of the remaining funds.
