Karachi mayor, Wasim Akhtar spoke in a press conference where he told that he has sent recommendations to the Sindh government to raise the amount of work carried out in the Karachi city. He also declared different developmental projects present in provincial Annual Development Programme. These project would cost almost Rs13 billion.
As per the mayor he has asked the government to allot Rs9 billion for almost 143 diverse projects in the city. He further said it is after a decade that elected workers of the country have got a chance to help people. We can only hope that the government approves these projects for the greater good of the people.
Wasim Akhtar said that the Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced Rs12 billion for all huge projects in Karachi. He further said that these projects will be completed by June. Karachi Metropolitan Corporation should finish these projects instead of the bureaucracy as per the mayor.

The projects that the mayor wants to initiate in Karachi include construction of hospitals, theme parks, KMC buildings and civic service projects. For the improvement of transportation system of the city, the mayor has suggested extensions of roads with street lights installed, construction of more roads and storm water drains.
Along with Wasim Akhtar, Karachi Deputy Mayor Dr Arshad Vohra, Hanif Muhammad Marchawala the Municipal Commissioner and Aslam Shah Afridi City Council Parliamentary Leader along with other officials attended this press conference.
