Yesterday night, the (DC) Deputy Commissioner of District Central Karachi had sealed the Serena mobile mall after discovering that the shopkeepers were violating the coronavirus SOPs.
The mall is sited at Sakhi Hassan Chowrangi in District Central. People were seen crowding the shops after 10 pm which was against the prescribed SOPs, said the reports.
A few days back, the federal government has again ordered shops and other businesses across Pakistan to be closed by 10 pm due to the rising number of coronavirus cases.
On Sunday, the country reported 1,123 cases, most infections recorded since July. 4 patients died as well.
Earlier, the Sindh government has warned of a second wave of the novel coronavirus. Furthermore, the citizens have been asked to wear face masks every time they step outside their homes, avoid crowding places, and practice social distancing.
On the other hand, the owners of the marriage halls protested in the Korangi area of Karachi against the demolition of the halls.
