As the coronavirus cases have increased in Khairpur, the deputy commissioner imposed lockdown and sealed many areas of Khairpur.
The lockdown became effective from 12th June in Gambat, Sobhodero, and Taluka Khairpur, as per the notification sent to the district’s health officer.
The notification further read that SOPs will be implemented through law enforcement agencies and local police after which the unnecessary movement of the people will be blocked.
It has been made mandatory for every resident to strictly follow the SOPs (Standard operating procedures) provided by the government to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
Areas that have been sealed by the government include; Gharebabad Mohalla, Akhund Mohalla, Areesha Colony, Hindu Mohalla Ranipur, Machis Factory Area, Ahmedpur Mohalla Ranipur, Panjhati Area and Shaikh Mohalla.
In order to be sure that the orders are being implemented properly, the government has assigned the responsibility to the assistant commissioner and police.
So far, 905 coronavirus cases and six deaths have been reported in Khairpur.
On the other hand, there is fear of a second wave of coronavirus all over the globe.
