On Wednesday, the dairy farmers made the announcement of surging the milk price by Rs23 per litre in Karachi.
The dairy farmers across the city would now be selling milk to the middlemen at the rate of Rs108 per litre, which would directly be impacting the consumers.
As per the Dairy Farm Association Chief—Shakir Umar, the talks that were held between the dairy farmers and the Karachi commissioner brought no outcomes hence it led to the surge in milk price.
He said that the dairy farmers used to sell milk at Rs85 per litre to the middlemen, but they have now started to affect the price surge.

The official said that the price surge has come after the transport charges were hiked owing to the costlier fuel, expensive cow fodder costs and other expenses.
He further said that it is now up to the middlemen and the shopkeepers to decide when they wish to surge the milk price and pass on the increased rates to the consumers.
Aik Better Together—an organization has begun a campaign in which they are decorating the rickshaws with the words and quotes of the leader of Pakistan—Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
This is a good initiative by the organization for spreading awareness among the masses.
The rickshaws painted with the words of Quaid would for sure be a delightful site and would attract everyone.
