According to the media reports, the cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered a case against several leaders of the former ruling political party PML-N in Judge Arshad Malik video blackmailing scandal.
The agency filed the FIR against the president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Shehbaz Sharif, vice president Maryam Nawaz, former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former defence minister Khawaja Asif, and Uzma Bukhari.
The FIR against the PML-N leaders reads that the video shown by the daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz in a press conference was tempered and electronic forged.
As per the details, another suspect involved in the accountability judge Arshad Malik video blackmailing scandal emerged.
The details said that the suspect was identified as Mian Raza who was behind the video scandal and the one who purchased video from Mian Tariq.
The judge of the Accountability Court of Islamabad Arshad Malik in his application said that he was asked by the PML-N workers to help in the cases against the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif through the blackmailing.
“I was performing my duties as Additional and Session Judge in Multan from 2000 to 2003 and during that time my immoral videos were recorded by Mian Tariq,” said Arshad Malik.
The judge said that he shocked when he saw that the vice president of PML-N Maryam Nawaz and other leaders are doing press conference against him.
