Cut in Sugar Prices by Rs.20 per Kilogram

PM Khan has said that the ex-mill sugar prices have been reduced by Rs.20 per kilogram in 20 days owing to the effective intervention of the government in the matter.

As per the shared details, PM Khan tweeted that the distribution of the imported sugar at control rates and the timely crushing season of it would be ensured. He also wrote that he has asked the provinces to make sure that the payment of cane are made in fair and faster ways to the farmers.

It it important to mention that the prices of sugar in the nation have witnessed a reduction in the wholesale and retail markets.

Previously in the month of November, the federal government had said that it would be reducing the sugar prices by Rs.15 to Rs.20.

While addressing a press conference regarding the announcement, Hammad Azhar-the federal minister for the Industries and Production has said that the government has procured more than one hundred tonnes of imported sugar for meeting the demand.

On the other hand, as per the latest, the Pakistan International Airlines has offered a thirty percent discount on the domestic flight fares.
