In Islamabad, the crime rate has been reduced during the last week. Only a few theft cases have been reported. The police, however, on the other hand, registered 121 cases and all against those who violated section 144 which has been imposed in Islamabad after the coronavirus outbreak.
121 cases against 424 people have been registered in the different police stations of Islamabad as these people violated section 144 which discourages public gatherings. This step was taken by the district administration to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
The cases have also been registered against those shopkeepers who were selling all basic daily use edibles and necessities at high prices.
Last week, a report was registered at Ramna Police Station by Asif Ali according to which an unknown person took away cash, LED and other expensive items that had a worth of around Rs.500, 000.
The same police station received another complaint from Mehir Ali. The complaint was about 2 men who broke into his house, took away all gold ornaments, mobile phone, cash worth Rs.300, 000 at gunpoint and then ran away.
One more complaint launched at Bhara Kahu Police station by Abid Abbasi who told that unknown people kidnapped his son Hussain Abid.
At Tarnol Police station Imran Waseem launched a complaint regarding two people Nadeem and Qasim who stole valuables and cash from his shop.
