Asad Umar, the Federal Minister for Planning and Development has stated that CPEC would change the fate of not just Pakistan but of the entire region.
While conversing with the media persons on Monday during his visit to Turbat along with the Defence Production Minister Zubaida Jalal he said that after the China Pakistan Economic Corridor is completed, it would be bringing peace and prosperity to the province of Balochistan.
The minister had reached the provincial capital of Balochistan with PM Khan 2 days back, however, he stayed there to consult the related authorities on the development package for the southern Balochistan.
PM Khan during his visit to Quetta had hinted at announcing a special package for southern Balochistan.
As per the official sources, the package would be worth nearly Rs.150 billion and the previous FATA would also be made a part of it.
The sources also indicated that PM Khan might visit Gwadar next month and it is expected that he would be announcing the uplift package for southern Balochistan.
Asad Umar said that the former governments did nothing for the betterment and development of the southern Balochistan, however, the present government is taking all steps for the development of not just the southern part of the province but also for the development of the other areas of the province.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Railways has slashed the ticket fares for all the AC classes both business and standard.
