CPEC is a developmental project between Pakistan and China. The project is attracting other foreign lands as well. Recently Germany and its business companies displayed interest in investing on various CPEC projects.
The Munich Chamber of Commerce is willing for cooperation between the two nations as it has asked for the list of Pakistani companies. It appears that the country is looking for joint economic ventures. This is not just an assumption, as Pakistan’s Consul General, Mr Nadeem Ahmed confirmed this news by saying that both German officials and private companies are showing interest in CPEC.
He also said that the Pakistani embassy is creating awareness within the country and internationally about investment opportunities that will open through CPEC.
The investment by China would help stabilize the country and if German companies collaborate with Pakistan it will further strengthen the country’s position as per Nadeem Ahmed. China is also encouraging German companies to invest in infrastructure, power, construction and agriculture sector of Pakistan. This has increased the interest of Germany in CPEC projects.

Ahmed was further asked about stiffness in Pak-German relations due to Indian negative propaganda. Ahmed said that despite all issues Pakistan’s relations are growing with Germany and Pakistan can use expertise and skills of Germany to grow in field of IT, automobiles, transportation, infrastructure, construction, agri-technology, power and chemicals.
This also make sense keeping in mind that Board of Investment is conducting road shows in foreign countries to create awareness about different projects going in Pakistan and to increase foreign direct investment in Pakistan.
