Lt Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa the Chairman of CPEC Authority said that after the successful completion of the phase-I, Pakistan is getting ready for the phase-II of the multi-billion dollar China Pakistan Economic Corridor project, which is envisioned to generate mass employment opportunities for the Pakistani citizens.
Asim Bajwa tweeted from his social media handle for the very first time on Tuesday and posted that the CPEC project with across the board acceptability, is already offering relief in the sectors of infrastructure and energy.
He further wrote that it is now time to get ready for the phase-II which is thought to produce mass employment via more projects, agricultural and socio-economic uplift and mass industrialization.
The statement has been issued one week after PM Khan asked all the relevant authorities and minister to set goals for the schemes to make sure that that the international coordination for early settlement of the phase-II of the multibillion-dollar project.
Prime Minister Imran Khan while heading a high-level meeting that was held to review the progress on the many projects under the CPEC last week said that the projects should be finalised on the basis of the socio-economic development and be completed at the earliest.
