On Saturday, Lt. General retired Asim Saleem Bajwa Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority launched a CPEC internship program for the youth.
Chairman tweeted that the aim of this internship program is to empower the youth of Pakistan. This internship program for three-months.
The CPEC internship program is going to recruit a hundred interns in total. Each and every intern is going be paid monthly. The interns will be allotted to different industries and sectors.
People under thirty years of age will be eligible to apply for this program. He/she must have a bachelor’s degree in any subject. Work experience is not compulsory, only curious and highly motivated individuals will be recruited. Also, applicants must have good writing, research, and digital media skills.
As per the application process; the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CV. Later on, the shortlisted candidates will have to submit a written or video essay of about 500-600 words.
The duration of the internship program is 3 months starting from October 2020 till December 2020.
On the 18th of June, Asim Bajwa also announced the second phase of CPEC which aims to provide job opportunities for the youth of Pakistan.
In this regard, a ceremony was held where the agreement was signed between the Chinese companies in Taxila and the CPEC authority. Chairman CPEC stated that the phase II mega project has been started which will help in providing investment opportunities to the foreign investors in the CPEC’s special economic zones.
