In relation to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a new CPEC Bus Service has been started between China and Pakistan, the bus service will operate 4 days a week Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
According to the details, the bus service is operated by North-South Transport Network (NSTN) an authorized operator for this project.
The trip is estimated 30-hour road trip which costs Rs13,000 one-way and Rs23,000 for the return ticket. The NSTN bus service will depart from Lahore for Tashkurgan (China) on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Similarly, the bus service will operate from Tashkurgan on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for returning passengers. In order to get a bus ticket, a passenger must hold a valid passport, computerized national identity card (CNIC) and a valid visa issued by Chinese Embassy in Pakistan.
CPEC Bus Service Travel Itinerary
The service offers premium luxurious bus travel with comfortable seats, better en-route services including tea, lunch, breakfast, dinner, and snacks, WiFi service is also provided in the buses throughout the journey.
Passengers are allowed to carry a maximum of 20kg luggage with them, however, weight exceeding maximum baggage allowance would be charged extra. Passengers can book a week earlier for the service online in which travel insurance is not included.
According to some reports the visa will be processed at Gilgit stop at Chinese visa processing center in Gilgit if they do not have a visa beforehand. The bus service will be launched on November 3 on Saturday.
