On Saturday, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Healthcare Punjab released the Eid schedule for the coronavirus testing laboratories.
The schedule shows that the testing labs will work in a single shift on the first day of Eid and on the second and third day the coronavirus testing labs will work two shifts in a single day.
There could be an increase and decrease in the shifts and personnel positioned on the days of Eid in different labs of the province due to the number of samples obtained, said the spokesperson for the health ministry.
He also praised the lab workers by saying that they are also part of the frontline workers in fighting coronavirus in Pakistan.
In the last twenty-four hours, 275 new cases have been reported which makes the total tally to 18, 730 in Punjab.
The health department also broke down the list of the areas where the new cases reported which included: Hafizabad; the most affected area having 55 new cases. 54 cases were reported in Faisalabad, from Lahore 28 cases were reported, 14 from Multan, 24 from Gujranwala, 33 from Rawalpindi, and 11 from Sargodha and Rahim Yar Khan.
According to the spokesperson of the primary and secondary health care department, 324 people have died so far in Punjab.
