Coronavirus Took 5 More Lives in Pakistan

According to the National Command and Operation Center, five more people died due to coronavirus within the last 24 hours. Now the total number of deaths in Pakistan has risen up to 45.

15 people died in Sindh, 14 in Punjab and 12 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

172 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours which totals the number of affected people to 2,880.

Out of the total cases, 1,163 are reported from Punjab, 864 from Sindh, 372 from Khyber PK, 185 in Balochistan, 206 from Gilgit-Baltistan, 78 from Islamabad and 12 from Azad Kashmir.

Up till now 170 patients have recovered and are sent back to their homes and 18 are in serious condition.

The country has been in lockdown for two weeks but still, the number of cases continues to increase day by day.

A fifteen-day lockdown was announced by the Sindh government from 23rd March. Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir followed suit. There is a partial lockdown in Khyber Pk and Balochistan while in Islamabad section 144 is imposed.

All chaotic places like markets, shopping malls, educational institutions, and other private businesses have been closed. Also, inter-city and inter-provincial transport have been suspended. Financial sectors, banks, and factories all were asked to reduce their working hours. All these suspensions are done to control the spread but despite the lockdown, the cases are increasing.
