Islamabad has mandated the coronavirus testing for all the restaurant delivery employees across the federal capital.
As per a notification by the administration, only those employees who test negative for COVID-19 will be permitted to deliver or prepare the delivery commodities.
The notice further read that the home deliveries of both the food and the non-food items are directed to follow the SOPs of personal hygiene and sanitisation of themselves as well as of the deliveries.
Hamza Shafat, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad has said that they have come across a few cases where some of the deliverymen have been tested positive for coronavirus.
The owners of the restaurants have issued a complaint that the tests of the COVID-19 are very costly and that big restaurant has nearly 100 employees while the small ones have got at least 20 employees.
They asked the government to offer them incentives or packages so that could get their staff easily tested.
The decision has been taken to curb the control of the deadly virus that has taken the entire world.
