The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has reached 189 as five new cases of novel coronavirus emerged in Sindh.
Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Information Murtaza Wahab in a tweet announced this development.
In Sukkur, 234 tests were conducted out of which 119 pilgrims tested positive. 36 patients tested positive in the rest of Sindh. 34 of these patients are under treatment and 2 of the patients have recovered.
Sindh overall has 155 confirmed cases. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Punjab have reported 15, 10, 4, 3, and 2 cases respectively. Azad Jammu and Kashmir have reported no cases yet.
The situational report provided by the National Institute of Health stated that Pakistan’s coronavirus tally stood at 187 with 150 confirmed cases in Sindh, 15 in K-P, 14 in Balochistan, 4 in Islamabad, 3 in G-B, and 1 in Punjab.
In the last 24 hours, the total number of tests performed in Pakistan is 499. Overall, 4 patients have been discharged, 1 in Islamabad and 3 in Sindh.
NIH revealed that a total of 995,821 travelers have been screened at entry points so far. Out of these 20,187 travelers were checked in the 24 hours. The suspect patients overall stand at 533 with 100 emerging in the last 24 hours.
